1、Duration of Stay: The duration of stay for doctoral exchange students at the host institution shall normally be between a period ranging from two months for up to one academic year, subject to the agreement of the two institutions.

2、Application and Acceptance:

  • (a).Students will have completed at least one academic year of doctoral work prior to participation in the exchange;
     
  • (b).Good academic standing, as reflected by an average academic score of at least 3.5GPA (NTNU) or 3.0(MU) in previous academic work at the home university and two letters of recommendation with one being from their major academic advisor. In accordance with the Graduate School, visiting international students must provide proof of a minimum TOEFL score of 80 (iBT, with no section below 17; recommended score of 100 for clinical training purpose) or an IELTS score of 6.5 with no bands lower than 6.0.
     
  • (c).A Plan of Study that is acceptable to the host institution.

3、Exchange Items: Doctoral exchange students will be enrolled in 1 credit course, which may include Independent Study and Practicum at the MU College of Education or at NTNU, as well as participate in research. 

4、Study Plan: Each exchange student will be assigned an academic advisor at the host institution prior to submitting an application and based on mutual interests. Each doctoral exchange student shall determine the study plan at the host institution in consultation with academic advisors of both the home and host institutions. Depending on the study program, language requirements and/or other prerequisites may be imposed in accordance with the regulations of the host institution. The doctoral exchange student will normally be permitted to audit classes unless these classes are subject to limited enrollments.As part of this exchange, MU will provide an academic and cultural orientation program for EPC students.
