(1)The BCCIP is a program designed to:

  • a.promote EPC and ESCP students' cross-cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills through a short but intense professional exchange in another culture,

  • b.promote personal and professional cross-cultural relationships among faculty and students, and

  • c.establish a long-term professional collaboration between NTNU and MU.

(2)The BCCIP is a short cross-cultural immersion program, including preparatory meetings. The MU College of Education and NTNU EPC provide a variety of professional lectures and activities (e.g., multicultural research training, workshop, a buddy system) as well as cultural exploration activities and opportunities (e.g., night markets, living with host families) for the visitors.

(3)MU's ESCP program and EPC at NTNU will host the BCCIP every other year.  Lengths of stay for BCCIP can range from 2-4 weeks in a study immersion program. An extension of stay for BCCIP must be officially approved by both institutions.
